Introduction
The OTYS Web API connects your website directly with OTYS Go!. The Web API is our solution for those that wish to have candidates find vacancies and apply on their own (existing) website. If you do not yet have a website but you would like to and don’t feel like finding an external party it might be interesting to know that we at OTYS offer our own site builder that is also built on the Web API. This way you get all the benefits of connecting directly to OTYS Go! without any of the complex web development involved and without hiring a third party.
Possibilities and documentation
The Web API is the upgraded version (and the successor) of our previous API, which we named the Job API. The first version only offered vacancies, but the new Web API now also offers complete application processing. For the full list of options you can check out our API connection directly here. Which web solution do I need?
At OTYS we offer 3 internal web solutions that should cover all of your needs. These solutions have their own detailed articles, but we will summarise them for you here. We also offer web solutions through partners.
OTYS WebAPI
You have an existing website by an external party, and you wish to implement the recruitment functionality of Go! in your website. You maintain in control of the design of your site and your workflow. This means that your site’s brand identity will remain as it is. This solution is highly efficient, handling applications and procedures automatically after some setup. It’s also highly scalable, allowing you to have multiple brands or websites connected with OTYS Go!.
OTYS Site Builder
If you don’t have a website yet but want to get one, and you want it integrated with OTYS Go! then the suite builder is the best option for you. It’s our own in house tool to create websites from scratch that will instantly link to your Go! environment. It requires little technical knowledge, and it can all be done by following our extensive article, which you can find here.
WordPress Plugin
If you have a WordPress site you will most likely want to use our WordPress Plugin. This also takes away a large part of the technical work and know-how, using existing templates to link up to OTYS Go!. This solution does require you to already have a WordPress site, and might still need some front end development.
How do I get the Web API?
If you wish to get more information on the Web API or to receive an API key from us please create a ticket with your request or let your dedicated Customer Success Manager know. We will take it from there.
Once we’ve delivered the key, the configuration on our side has come to an end, and your (external) own web builder can start creating the integration.
We request that you let us know at least 2 weeks in advance when you wish to go live with the integration. That way we can make sure everything goes smoothly on our side once you go live.
